EAA Assessor and Co-ordinator

Exam Access Arrangements (EEA) Assessor and Coordinator- 18 hrs per week, 40 weeks per year, Permanent.

Join us as an EAA Assessor and Coordinator! An EAA Assessor and Coordinator co-ordinates assessments and Exam Access Arrangements (EEA) for identified or referred learners; they would assist the Learning Support Team leader in inspiring the Learning Support Team to remove barriers to learning, ensuring that learners with additional needs have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Here’s the standard bit: You’ll be working alongside and supporting curriculum teams to break down barriers and ensure that all learners are able to achieve successful outcomes during assessments/exams. Identify via assessment the effective use of resources and technology appropriate to support identified learners to remove barriers to learning. Work with the Team leader to support the development of the learning support team and curriculum staff in order to ensure access arrangements are in place in a timely manner to meet individual student needs.  

What you’ll need: - We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and a highly motivated individual, with a post graduate course in independent specialist assessment at or equivalent to a Level 7 and/or equivalent experience coupled with a thorough knowledge of legislation regarding learners with difficulties/disabilities e.g., SEN Code of Practice, Single Equality Duty, Health and Safety. A broad range of curriculum knowledge/qualification structure e.g., BTEC, City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeships. Experience of supporting learners with difficulties/disabilities across a range of curriculum areas in an educational environment and the issues facing young people with barriers to their learning (including social, emotional, behavioural). You’ll be planning and delivering support for a wide variety of needs, across all course level and using a range of methodologies including Assistive Technologies whilst supporting learners with Access Arrangements for exams

Level 2 Qualification in a vocational or Key Skill Area, Hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 qualification linked to support, learning or disability. Please see the JD for further information.
