Are you a passionate and knowledgeable football coach looking to make a positive impact on young players? We're seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Football Coach to join our growing Football Academy!

 

In this role, you'll play a vital role in developing our talented players, both on and off the pitch while working alongside the Head Coach to deliver high-quality coaching.

 

You'll assist in designing and delivering age-specific training sessions aligned with our established coaching methodology, ensuring players are educated and challenged at every stage of their development.


You'll be instrumental in developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching strategy that aligns with the Academy's vision and goals, ensuring we're preparing players for success.


You'll support all aspects of training and game preparation, including matchdays, fostering a positive team culture that emphasises teamwork, communication, and mutual respect.
You'll collaborate with other staff to create an effective player development program that considers both educational outcomes and footballing skills.


The successful candidate will possess a strong coaching qualification and a proven track record of developing young football talent, have a passion for football and committed to staying current with the latest coaching techniques and strategies.

 

You will show excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with players, parents, staff, and the wider community, as well as effectively managing time and workload, contributing to team meetings and administrative tasks such as scheduling fixtures and minibus bookings.

 

The Assistant Football Coach will make a real difference in the lives of young players, shaping their football skills and character, work within a supportive and collaborative environment focused on player development, as well as be part of a growing and ambitious Football Academy with a clear vision for success.

 

The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of Level 3 in a Sports/Football related qualification and/or relevant industry experience, hold a minimum of UEFA B Licence or above, a recognised first aid qualification, full driving licence and qualified to drive a minibus, hold a minimum of Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English Language and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or other Level 2 equivalent qualifications, as well as hold an updated Safeguarding and FA DBS. A UEFA A Licence or above, or a Sports related degree are desirable.
