About the role:
The Lecturer in A Level Geography will deliver an engaging and innovative curriculum to learners. This role involves planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons, as well as assessing and supporting students in their learning journey. While a teaching qualification is beneficial, we can provide the necessary training and support for applicants to achieve their teaching qualifications.

Delivering lessons in our designated Geography classroom, you will have access to resources and materials to support you to deliver the course. You will work as part of the highly successful and supportive Humanities team, sharing good practice and ideas to enhance teaching and learning. The department includes A Levels in Geography, History, Politics, Law, Religious Studies, Classical Civilisation and a BTEC in Applied Law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality A Level Geography lessons to learners
  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of learners
  • Assess and provide feedback on student progress
  • Support learners in achieving their educational goals
  • Ensure compliance with all college policies and procedures
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

  • A strong background in Geography
  • A Level 5 Teaching Qualification or willing to work towards
  • Evidence of commitment to professional development
  • A good standard of Maths and English
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
