Salary/Benefits: Minimum Wage, Pro Rata - DOE and Qualifications. Full training to be provided.

Hours/Weeks: 12.5hrs per week/36 Weeks. Working hours will be 7.30am to 10am Monday to Friday.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Catering Assistant to join The Bedford College Group at our Kettering Campus.

As a Catering Assistant you play an important role in the success of our students through:

• Providing support and assistance to customers and other staff members.
• Assisting in the maintenance of the kitchen and Restaurant facilities and ensure serviceability and security of tools and equipment, and ensure Health and Safety requirements are met.
• Presenting a professional image to all customers and presentation and serving of food to an agreed standard.

About you:

• Knowledge of collecting monies through a cash register & PDQ machine
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent
• Experience in customer care
• IT skills Word, Excel and Outlook
• Allergen training
• Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in catering environment
• Knowledge of food preparation and cooking skills
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
• Ability to multitask
• Access to own transport, with the ability to travel to events and various sites
