About the role as a plumbing teacher:

We are looking for a plumber to join the team at Reading college. If you have knowledge and experience in teaching plumbing, we would welcome your application! 

As a plumbing teacher, you will have passion and enthusiasm for developing and nurturing the next generation of plumbing professionals. Our Construction Faculty has an excellent record of delivering vocational plumbing courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team. We deliver well-established and highly successful professionally accredited courses in plumbing and we are looking for people who can bring, not just skills-based learning, but positivity to their lessons so that our students enjoy their experience while learning. 

This role is full time (37 hours per week), permanent contract. We are offering an annual salary up to £40,173 depending on qualifications and experience. 

As a Plumbing Teacher, you may be eligible to apply for an additional payment of up to £6000 from the levelling up premium payment scheme. What do you need to be a Plumbing teacher at Activate Learning?

You will be working towards creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning and assessment on our courses at our Reading college. Our students are eager to learn and therefore we want to appoint someone that has a genuine interest in working with and developing young professionals, providing them with a high level of knowledge that they can utilise in their future careers. 

Ideally, you will be a qualified plumber with vast amount of industry experience, along with a passion for developing skills of the future generation.  You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.  

Candidates with experience in further education, distance learning and higher apprenticeships are also encouraged.  We also welcome applications from those seeking a full time or part time position.
