Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Rainham, Havering

Start Date: September 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with a creative and imaginative Year 4 child with ADHD. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, and eager to contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Having several bus stops and plenty of free parking nearby, the primary school is accessible via public transport and by car.

For this role, you will need to be available 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a Year 4 child with ADHD, helping them to access the curriculum and develop social skills.
  • Implement individualised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to meet the child's unique needs.
  • Use creative strategies to engage and motivate the child, fostering a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
  • Encourage positive interactions and support the child's emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with ADHD or special educational needs is preferred.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners.
