Adult and work-based learning growth is at the centre of the Oaklands Strategic Plan and as we enter a transformational period in the Oaklands history we are looking for an inspirational and highly collaborative leader to motivate, manage and support the development of our apprenticeship and work-based training department. We are looking for someone who can deliver at pace, whilst ensuring the needs of our communities, stakeholders and employers remain central to our work and development plans. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of stakeholders to implement cross-cutting ambitious initiatives across Hertfordshire as a member of the Oaklands College Management Team
• Lead and inspire your team to achieve exceptional results.
• Drive the employer engagement strategy with innovation and effectiveness.
• Develop and execute cutting-edge apprenticeship and work-based training programmes.
• Ensure all programs meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
• Foster and manage key stakeholder relationships to expand training delivery.
• Utilise and manage advanced apprenticeship monitoring software for precise reporting.
• Stay ahead of apprenticeship trends and policy changes to keep our programs cutting-edge.

Required Skills:
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• Proven success in delivering and managing apprenticeship programs.
• In-depth knowledge of the English further education and skills systems.
• Recognised assessor qualification (A1/A2, D32/33, or TAQA).
• Level 2 qualifications in Maths, English, and ICT.
• Experience as an Ofsted Inspector (OI) for apprenticeship provision is a plus.
