Tutor / Assessor - Electrical Installation

We are now seeking someone to train and assess students on College programmes and, in particular, to contribute to the Electrical Installation curriculum and its work with delivering and assessing NVQ's, technical certificates and apprenticeships. This is to prepare for completion of standards and readiness for EPA's. Providing relevant tutorial student support, you will also carry out onsite assessments / observations and monitor and log the 20% off the job training.

As our Tutor / Assessor, you will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electro-technical (or an equivalent recognised qualification) and have significant experience within the electrical contracting industry. Registered with a recognised professional body such as JIB, NIC or ECA, you will have experience of teaching / training and assessing NVQ's in Electrical Installation and have achieved TDLB units; D32/3/34 or A1/V1 and D36.

With knowledge of a range of teaching strategies that meet individual learning needs, you will be able to provide effective learner support through tutorial strategies and have knowledge of the NVQ framework and code of practice for assessing the Apprentice framework or standards in the electrical industry. You will demonstrate the ability to teach / train and assess and to communicate at a level appropriate to the students and in a way that recognizes their different learning needs and abilities.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
