Salary/Benefits: Rate from £24.50 DOE and Qualification

Hours/Weeks: 4 hours per week for 13 weeks (Sept - Jan)

Contract Type: Temporary - Part Time

About the role:

As a Lecturer for Psychology and Criminal Behaviours at our Bedford Campus you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:
  • Preparing, delivering and assessing subject specialism on a range of Social Studies HE courses and levels
  • Engaging with the moderation process, including second marking and IQA
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential
  • Managing students' learning and provide a high-quality learning experience
  • Contributing to pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching
  • Keeping CPD industry knowledge up to date
About you:
  • Master's degree in Forensic Psychology or Master's in Psychology, with a substantial forensic psychology element
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area
  • Experience of preparing Scheme of Work that fully meet awarding body requirements
  • Experience of monitoring and recording students' progress and taking action to ensure students meet standards and deadlines
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels
