We are seeking to appoint a Course Leader for A-Level English Language and Literature to join an experienced team of well qualified and extremely dedicated staff. The successful candidate will be one who can make a major contribution to the teaching team, providing consistently excellent education and training that inspires learners and builds their confidence and curiosity, whilst being able to track and monitor progress of students on the course. Your learners will develop as people, with the skills they need to succeed and thrive in life and employment.

In addition to English Language and Literature, opportunities to deliver on other programmes may be possible. In certain circumstances and dependent upon your skills and experience within the delivery of other subjects, the position could be extended to a larger fraction.

You are expected to be a student-centred teacher with a good level of organisation, excellent classroom management skills and a strong academic background in English. You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the course, and you will have a keen interest in, and awareness of the other A Level English Language and Literature subjects. Your enthusiasm should extend to extra-curricular activities such as organising/taking part in visits and encouraging a wider enrichment experience for your students.
