About the role

This position will be based at our London campus. A brand new, purpose-built and designed 19,000 square foot campus on Commercial Road in London's East End. This campus is a creative hub for gaming, esports, music, media and computing.

The Assistant Head of Curriculum is a pivotal role in ensuring, through effective leadership and management, students studying within the curriculum areas have a high-quality learning experience. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery and leadership of learning programmes and delivery teams.

The role will also play a major part in supporting and enhancing the learner experience through developing links with industry, employers and external stakeholders and being an ambassador for Access Creative College in the region.

You will be managing creative provision in media, games, and esports, therefore a background in one or more of these areas and a passion for creative education is highly desirable.

What you will bring to Access Creative College

Leadership Qualities: entrepreneurial leadership skills and experience in educational management in driving high-performing teams.

Educational Experience: managing or supporting a teaching team to ensure an outstanding learner experience

Curriculum Area Experience: a passion for the creative sector aligned to our curriculum offer including; gaming, esports, and media.

Industry contacts: Industry experience and contacts allow us to drive forward the next generation of creative minds.

What we offer

• Salary Scale: £37,000 - £45,000 per annum (plus performance-related OTE up to £4,000)
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Responsible for: direct Line Management for those who are part of the teaching and delivery team within your curriculum area of responsibility.
• Hours: ACC is not your typical 9 - 5 role. Whilst the contracted hours are 37.5, this will be managed flexibly across the academic year to reflect the peaks and flows in working in education.
