We have an opportunity available for a Profound & Multiple Learning Disability (PMLD) Co-Ordinator to join us on a Permanent basis, term time only (plus 2 weeks).

The role of Profound & Multiple Learning Disability Co-ordinator is a critical role in the College in supporting learners with profound and multiple learning disabilities. The successful candidate will ensure each learner has their needs met safely, allowing them to participate fully in College life. The Profound & Multiple Learning Disability Co-Ordinator will line manager a team of Education Support Workers that work with the College’s most complex learners.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years successful experience in PMLD/ SEND within a secondary or FE setting
  • Evidence of achieving positive outcomes for learners with PMLD.
  • Experience of co-ordinating support for Young people with medical and complex care needs including moving and handling.
  • Extensive experience of working with young adults with additional needs including learners with non-verbal communication.
  • A nursing or care qualifications desirable.
  • A specialist qualification in aspects of SEN is desirable
