We are “the Career College”

Our strategic intent is to enable inclusive access to a high quality, career led curriculum, developed in partnership with learners, employers and key stakeholders in Cornwall and beyond.

Additional Learning Support Provision:

The purpose of this provision is to develop independent, confident and resilient learners who are well-prepared to engage with the wider community.

All of our staff must have the highest of ambitions for all learners, including those with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), in order to most-effectively support their future goals and provide the appropriate amount of support. By providing learners with the correct amount of ‘stretch and challenge’, and promoting independence, we will achieve our purpose, and they will be better equipped for their next steps.

Based at our beautiful Bicton College campus in East Devon, we are looking for an experienced and passionate person to teach learners on our Vocational Studies or Independence Pathways as well as managing their study programme.

We have an ambitious curriculum offer for our learners, that reflects the local needs as well as developing them into the world of employment and / or further education.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in working with learners with SEND and SEMH who wants to inspire young people to gain experience in different curriculum areas with the aim to progress onto level 2 courses.

Applicants must have a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to complete or undertake one), recent experience of practice with young people with SEND and SEMH and a real desire to make a difference to the lives of young people.
