Abingdon and Witney College are looking to appoint an experienced vocational teachers as Study Programme Leads for a number of areas of subject curriculum to manage and teach on our further education courses from Level 1 to Level 3.

Excellent industry knowledge and experience of teaching in the areas of:
- Carpentry - Teaching across various levels in carpentry
- Electrical - To teach and take responsibility in various levels in electrical.
- Games Development - Teaching games learners across the college
- Computing - Teaching and supporting learners across computer skills
- Animal - To teach on Animal Study programmes and lecture on animal courses level 1 to 3

Experience in the industry and teaching are essential for this role. The Study Programme Leads role is an opportunity for experienced teachers to take on a role of leading a range of programmes within a vocational area, including the design of the programmes to ensure that all aspects are delivered and co-ordinated to ensure the best possible student experience and outcomes and as a result incorporates 360 hours of remission from teaching (pro rata for part time posts) to allow time for these duties. Study Programme Leads play an integral role in ensuring the success and progression of our students through regular tutorials with students, providing support with finding experience placements and by ensuring every student is clear about their next steps into work or further study. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher to spend more time with students alongside their teaching, and to develop curriculum management skills in preparation for a step into management in the future.
