Trainee/Lecturer in Accounting & Finance

0.6 FTE (22.2 hours per week)

Joining us as a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance you must deliver excellent and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom, so that learners are inspired to succeed and progress.

As an enthusiastic expert in your area, you will plan delivery so schemes of work, lesson plans and individual learning plans support learner progress and timely achievement. Undertaking ongoing high quality formative and summative assessment of learners work in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress, you must aim to ensure that learners succeed through progress reviews and initiate and respond to new curriculum developments and plan resources as appropriate.

Qualified candidates should hold a minimum of a Level 4 qualification in AAT or an Accounting related subject, have experience of successful teaching (or teaching practice for ECT’s) and hold a full teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills (or be currently working towards). Experience of delivering on HE courses is desirable. Trainees may be considered for this role.

The role requires an individual with the ability to deliver exceptional teaching and learning and inspire, motivate and engage learners. Capable of producing effective schemes of work and lesson plans, you should demonstrate a background of inclusive and challenging teaching strategies and of supporting students to attend by meeting their individual needs.
