Work Based Tutor – Roof Slating & Tiling

37 hours per week

£25,975 – £30,700 per annum

For the right candidate Market Forces may apply in addition to a £2,500 Golden Hello Payment (Terms and Conditions apply)

Bolton College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Work Based Tutor in our Roof Slating & Tiling department to co-ordinate, recruit, manage, train and assess apprentices, both in college and in the workplace.

Ideally, you will:

• Possess a Level 3 Aware in Education and Training or equivalent or a willingness to work towards
• Possess a relevant Level 3 Occupational qualification  
• Hold GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4/C or above or equivalent
• Hold an Assessor award and verifier award (A and V units) & IQA
• Have extensive experience of working within the construction industry
• Have excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to manage and prioritise.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring progress of the apprentice standards in line with qualification requirements
• Regular liaison with employers and business tutors
• Supporting and contributing to the achievement of Bolton College’s business and quality targets involving recruitment of new Apprentices.
• Support excellence in formative assessment to ensure learners reach the highest standards of their qualification including outcomes of End Point Assessments (EPA).
