Lecturer - ESOL

12 Month Fixed Term Contract, Part Time (0.6)

The School of Commercial, Creative and Professional Studies at Merton College are seeking an inspiring and ambitious individual to take on the role of Lecturer - ESOL 16-18.

Within this role, you will teach ESOL across all levels to mainly 16-18 and also 19+ learners if needed using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies that meet the needs of all learners. The role might also include providing language/literacy support to ESOL adult students.

As our Lecturer, you'll hold a degree or relevant qualification in an appropriate subject and have excellent current teaching skills in ESOL across all levels. You will have experience of providing Additional Learning Support and have current knowledge of curriculum changes and the implications for teaching and learning strategies.

We also ask that you have experience of working to meet Awarding Organisations' standards and have a thorough understanding of the Quality Assurance cycle and your role in it.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
