Hourly Paid Lecturer in Public Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Public Services, Science and Computing. This role is perfectly suited to someone with experience in Public Services and teaching.

We are looking for an Hourly Paid Lecturer who is enthusiastic about making a difference to the lives and careers of our learners. The successful candidate must be confident that they can contribute to and improve our team.

Whilst teaching experience is desirable, we are keen to hear from people with a high level of industry knowledge and career experience that they can impart to others. Full teacher training will be provided to the successful candidate. We are also interested in hearing from anyone with a criminology/forensics background.

You will join a vibrant and high-performing team, working in our well-equipped facilities, teaching across a range of public services curriculum programmes. You will be teaching for approximately 18 hours a week with the opportunity to teach a range of levels from 1 - 5.

The team and our learners already benefit from excellent links with local employers, but any opportunity to further these links is always welcomed.

You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and Maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.

This is a fixed term position initially until June 2025 which will be reviewed in line with course enrolments.
