South Essex College is the largest provider of technical and vocational education and training for 16–18-year-olds, adults, and apprenticeship provision within Essex. We have been on a remarkable journey for many years, merging with various organisations to form the aspirational, impactful college that we are today. Our six highly developed campuses are located across Essex, from Thurrock in the west to Southend in the east, and we have opened our Centre for Digital Technologies in Basildon town centre.

The college has a bright future, and we are committed to appointing an individual who will be essential to ensuring that the financial/procurement strategic objectives and overall business objectives are achieved.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Services, the Contracts Manager will work proactively, collaborating with all designated strategic leads and budget holders, providing advice around Procurement & Contracts, completing analysis, and providing advice and guidance on financial matters which will inform and drive forward decisions and improve and maintain financial health. Experience in financial management, compliance and regulatory financial compliance, business acumen, and a high standard of communication skills are essential to success.
