About the role

As a trainer in Plumbing, you will have passion and enthusiasm for developing and nurturing the next generation of plumbing professionals.

Our Performance Coaches will work across a range of plumbing qualifications to deliver flexible, high-quality training/assessments to our apprentices in their work-based training areas. You’ll be required to monitor performance progression and development and to assess related skills/knowledge-based tasks to ensure the learners meet the course requirements as part of the apprenticeship standards. To contribute towards the apprenticeship targets in respect of learner recruitment, attendance, retention, achievement and to administer all assessments and internal verification procedures.

Our Construction Faculty has an excellent record of delivering vocational plumbing courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team. We deliver well-established and highly successful professionally accredited courses in plumbing, and we are looking for people who can bring, not just skills-based learning, but positivity to their lessons so that our students enjoy their experience while learning. 

This role is full time (37 hours per week), permanent contract, working across Berkshire and Surrey.

We are offering an annual salary up to £40,173 depending on qualifications and experience. 

As a Plumbing Performance Coach, you may be eligible to apply for an additional payment of up to £6000 from the levelling up premium payment scheme. What do you need to be a Plumbing Performance Coach at Activate Learning?

You will be working towards creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning and assessment for apprentices based at our Guildford and Reading colleges. Our students are eager to learn and therefore we want to appoint someone that has a genuine interest in working with and developing young professionals, providing them with a high level of knowledge that they can utilise in their future careers. 

The post holder will have extensive knowledge and experience in Plumbing and hold an NVQ L3 Plumbing Qualification, with proven track record of delivering Apprenticeships at Level 2 & 3. In addition, you will hold relevant assessor or vocational trainer awards and you will have an up-to-date ACS Gas Qualification.
